Walk-on freshman Ying Luo claimed an individual spot for the NCAA Women's Golf Championship on Saturday, but the season ended for her teammates as a final round rally came up short in the NCAA Central Region.

W. Golf. Shocked Huskies Banking On Final Round Rally At Regionals

UW shot a second round score of 19-over 307 in the NCAA Women's Golf Central Region on Friday to fall to 15th in the standings. The top eight teams will advance to the NCAA Championship after Saturday's final round.

UW fired a first round total of 6-over 294 in the NCAA Women's Golf Central Region on Thursday and are tied for 12th on the team leaderboard. SooBin Kim shot 1-under 71 and is tied for 12th among individuals.

W. Golf. Kent Ties WSU Record

Washington State junior Mallory Kent shot a 6-under 66 in the final round of the Pac-12 Championships, tying the Cougar record for lowest single-round score. Kent shares the record with Kim Welch (twice, 2005), Anastasia Kostina (2005), and Diana Hong (2007).

Charlotte Thomas and SooBin Kim birdied the 18th hole on Tuesday to put the Huskies one stroke ahead of Arizona and back in third. Thomas is tied for sixth and Kim is tied for 10th heading to the final round at Valencia CC.
