W. Crew. Cougars Head to Golden State for Lake Natoma Invitational

The Washington State University women's rowing team, currently ranked 13th in the country, will compete at the 2012 Lake Natoma Invitational in Gold River, Calif., Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15. Saturday's events will begin at 8:30 a.m. PT on Lake Natoma. The Cougars travel to California after competing in a dual regatta with Washington, April 3 at the Montlake Cut in Seattle where WSU's novice eight handed UW a three-second defeat.

W. Crew. No. 14 Cougars Grab Novice Victory in Seattle

The Washington State University women's rowing team, currently ranked 14th in the nation, faced the Washington Huskies, who are currently tied for third in the nation, Saturday morning at the Montlake Cut in Seattle. The Cougars garnered the top time in the novice eight event while WSU's varsity eight, second varsity eight, varsity four, and open eight were edged out by UW.

The Washington State University women's rowing team travels to Seattle, Saturday, April 7 to face cross-state rival Washington in the Cougars' second regatta of the competitive season. Saturday's racing is set to commence at 8 a.m. PT at the Montlake Cut. WSU, ranked 14th in the nation, will face Washington, tied for third in the nation, after returning from the 39th annual San Diego Crew Classic last weekend.

W. Crew. Cougars’ Varsity Four Takes Second in San Diego

The Washington State University women's rowing team concluded racing on a windy Sunday morning at the 2012 San Diego Crew Classic. The varsity four placed second in the Grand Finals of the collegiate four event, while WSU's novice eight placed fifth in the Grand Final. The second varsity eight grabbed a first-place finish in its respective Petite Final, while the varsity eight placed second in the Petite Final of the Collegiate Varsity Invitational event.

W. Crew. WSU Qualifies Two Boats for Grand Finals at San Diego Crew Classic

The Washington State University women's rowing team advanced two of four boats to the Grand Finals of the San Diego Crew Classic after racing in the preliminary heats at Mission Bay Saturday morning. The varsity four and novice eight qualified for the Grand Finals after finishing first and second, respectively, in their heats. WSU's varsity and second varsity eights will race in the Petite Finals Sunday morning after finishing fourth and third, respectively.

W. Crew. Huskies Advance All Boats To Finals In San Diego

What pleased Husky coach Bob Ernst the most was the smart, mature race his varsity eight executed on Saturday to finish first in their heat. All in all, the Huskies won two heats and advanced all four boats to Sunday's Grand Finals.

W. Crew. No. 14 Rowing Opens Season at San Diego Crew Classic

The Washington State University women's rowing team, ranked 14th in the nation, returns to the water to open the 2012 spring campaign at the 2012 San Diego Crew Classic in San Diego at Mission Bay, Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1. The Cougars return to competition after closing their 2011 fall season with two victories over rival Washington at the 2011 Head of the Lake in Seattle, Wash., Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011.
