University of Washington men's soccer is excited to again this year have the opportunity to send five players to participate on the Washington Crossfire's PDL team. The PDL is the top developmental men's league in North America.

The Sounders FC U-23 announced the signing of five players who currently play for the University of Washington. Defenders, Taylor Peay, Mike Uyehara, and Chris Brundage will offer defensive options for the Sounders U-23.

The Washington men's soccer team finished up its spring schedule last weekend against the Victoria Highlanders in Port Townsend, Wash. The match, played at Peninsula CC, ended in a 0-0 draw.

Please note the spring schedule change. UW and the Sounders will NOT play Friday. Instead UW will play the Victoria Islanders at Peninsula CC in Port Angeles, Wash., 3 p.m. on May 5.

The Sounders needed an extra 60-minute game so the UW men's soccer team played two games on Saturday, falling 1-0 in a closed-door friendly to the Sounders then dropping a 2-0 game at Seattle U in the afternoon

Saturday afternoon at Championship Field on the campus of Seattle University (14th and Cherry), the Redhawks will host the 3rd Annual Inaugural SU vs. UW Unified Soccer Game and Player Clinic.
