Throughout the fall, the focus for the Huskies has been to build speed and make technical improvements. Both crew programs demonstrated their gains in those areas in winning the Head of the Lake Regatta on Sunday.

The fall distance season is nearing its finish, but the Huskies still have one race remaining - the Head of the Lake. Both the men's and women's crew programs will compete on the 3.1 mile course beginning Sunday morning at 8 a.m.

Over the weekend, the Washington crew program lost one of its student-athletes following the tragic passing of Peter Allen ('13). A memorial service will be held Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church in Puyallup.

M. Crew. Five Huskies Medal In World Championship Finals

Five Huskies earned medals in their respective finals at the 2011 Rowing World Championships on Thursday. Rob Gibson, Will Crothers and Conlin McCabe won bronze for Canada, while Adrienne Martelli and Megan Kalmoe captured silver for USA.
