Johansson, Sweden trounce Qatar U-23s

Sounders FC right back Adam Johansson played the second half of Sweden's second international friendly in the Middle East, topping Qatar's U23s 5-0.

Sweden was scheduled to face Qatar's national team on Monday, but wound up facing their U23 squad instead.

After a scoreless first half, Sweden jumped on Qatar in the second half, spurred in part by the halftime substitutions of three players, including Johansson.  After goals in the 50th and 60th minutes, former Sounders midfielder Erik Friberg subbed on in the 63rd minute and Sweden would add three more before the final whistle.

Johansson is slated to start training with the Sounders FC when the club heads to Casa Grande, Arizona, for the next phase of training camp next Monday.
