Christensen named to US U17 squad
Sounders FC Academy goalkeeper Paul Christensen has been called in to the U17 National Team for a five-day camp in Carson, California.
US U17 coach Richie Williams called in a 21-man squad for the camp, which will feature games on February 1 against the LA Galaxy and February 4 against Nike’s The Chance Team. Christensen will join eight other MLS Academy players in the camp, with all 21 playing in the US U17 Residency Program in Bradenton, Florida.
Christensen, a Woodinville native, went 7-4-2 in 13 appearances last year, giving him 19 appearances on the U17 level. He hopes to be part of the US U17 squad at the CONCACAF U17 Championship April 6-19 in Panama.
