Celebrating Mike Ryan

There are many legends in Seattle soccer.

Mike Ryan was undoubtedly one of them.

He was the first coach of the US Women’s National Team and also coached several youth, high school and club teams, along with the University of Washington men’s team and was the first president of Washington Youth Soccer and Washington’s State Women’s Soccer Associations.  On November 20, he passed away at the age of 77 at his home in Lake City.

On Saturday from 4-7 at the University of Washington’s Alaska Airlines Arena, the Washington soccer community is invited to the Mike Ryan Life Celebration, recognizing all the accomplishments while also collecting donations to benefit the Mike Ryan Memorial Scholarship Fund at Northwest Soccer Camp.

PARKING: Free in E1 Montlake lot (entrance near Husky Soccer Field)
