Seattle mayor Mike McGinn declares January 4, 2013 “Seahawks Blue Friday”
In addition to helping orchestrate the 12th Man flag raise earlier this morning at the Space Needle, Seattle mayor Mike McGinn has proclaimed January 4, 2013 “Seahawks Blue Friday” in Seattle.
“I urge all residents to honor this remarkable team and organization,” the proclamation reads, “and wish them the best of luck in this week’s game.”
The Seahawks take on the Washington Redskins in the Wild Card round of the playoffs on Sunday, January 6. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. PT and the game will be nationally televised on FOX.
