Lynch and Wilson nominated, again
Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson have been nominated for FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week and NFL Rookie of the Week. Again. So, you have the opportunity to vote for them. Again.
Lynch ran for 124 tough yards on a season-high 27 carries and also scored a touchdown in the Seahawks’ 28-7 victory over the Jets on Sunday. The other nominees are the Titans’ Chris Johnson, who had 126 yards and a TD in a 37-3 win over the Dolphins; and the Vikings’ Adrian Peterson, who had 171 yards and a TD in a 34-24 win over the Lions.

Wilson completed 12 of 19 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns against the Jets. The other nominees for top-rookie honors are Buccaneers cornerback Leonard Johnson, who returned an interception 83 yards for a score in a 34-24 win over the Chargers; Colts QB Andrew Luck, who was 18 of 26 for 227 yards and ran for two TDs in a 27-10 win over the Jaguars; Rams punter Johnny Hekker, who was successful on two fake punts in a tie with the 49ers; and Vikings wide receiver Jarius Wright, who caught three passes for 65 yards and a TD in the win over the Lions.
