Under-18 World Championship takes place in Belarus in April
Today I read an article that I thought I should pass on. It was retweeted by several people on twitter and after reading I can see why. It is an article by Ken Campbell of TheHockeyNews.com about NHL relocation rumors. In the article, Campbell says the Atlanta Thrashers are for sale and relocation would be necessary for whoever buys the team due to the lack of hockey success in that market. He also goes on to say that Seattle would be one of the best suitors due to the fact that it would give the NHL another team in the Western Conference and would allow the Detroit Redwings to slide over and fill the vacant spot in the Eastern Conference. You can read the article here.
I personally would love to see the NHL come to Seattle especially with the rich hockey history here. Not too many people know this, but the Seattle Metropolitans were the first U.S. team to win the Stanley Cup back in 1917. What do you think?
